Pension funds, banks, and hedge funds have always had rigorous quantitative risk analysis. Individual investors mostly guess. Rainy-day.ai closes that gap — and the marketing site had to earn institutional trust while still feeling approachable to a self-directed investor discovering the product for the first time.
We built a quiet, editorial layout with a hero that shows the actual risk report, a numbered explainer of the three-minute onboarding, and an honest "who this is for" section that qualifies the waitlist instead of chasing every signup.
The challenge
Introduce a brand-new fintech category — the "risk alignment gap" — to individual investors without sounding like a robo-advisor, a stock-tip newsletter, or a jargon-heavy institutional tool.
Our approach
Lead with the product artifact — the risk report itself — then walk through the four-step flow, name the core insight in plain English, and close with a qualified early-preview signup.
Program pillars we designed around
Institutional credibility
A calm, data-forward hero that puts the risk report — not a stock photo — front and center to signal seriousness.
Three-minute story
A numbered four-step walkthrough of the onboarding flow so visitors understand exactly what they'll get and how fast.
The alignment gap
An editorial mid-page section that names the core insight — profile vs. actual portfolio risk — the product is built to solve.
Qualified waitlist
Honest 'who it's for / not for' framing paired with an early-preview signup that filters for the right engaged investor.
About the company
An early warning system for risk.
Rainy-day.ai measures a portfolio's true risk, shows what drives it, and tells the investor whether it aligns with what they can actually handle — before the market does it for them.
The platform runs tens of thousands of simulated futures across 30 years and delivers a dashboard plus written summary in about three minutes, from onboarding to first risk report.
"Institutions know their risk. Most individual investors don't."
